Falling in Love

I'm falling in love with fall.... with a nude lip..... with autumnal stripes.... with leopard print pumps.... with burgundy nails...

I put this look together because I wanted something that truly felt like fall, while still keep it weather-appropriate for the warm September weather. And I dug up my nude lipstick I bought back in the summer.. it always seemed so harsh and now I realize it was just holding out for fall! This was the perfect outfit for a luncheon and midafternoon pick-me-up at the local gluten-free bakery. Yum!

I snapped this quick pic before dinner and a play. Found these tapered cropped pants at the thrift store earlier that day (ON THE FIFTY-CENT RACK) and I believe they are quite the find (I soo wish you could see the subtle rose pattern!!). They went well with my mint/light blue silk blouse (a previous thrifty find for $3)!

I (finally) made it through a rough few weeks of tests and have a temporary break! Dots and I will be attending the SAFABB Bombshell Bash. This will be the first event I can go to and I cannot wait to meet all you lovely ladies! Happy weekend!!

Fashion Night Out

The night started with valet service courtesy of Neiman Marcus. I was swept away instantly to the red carpet where I posed for photos & chatted with fellow fashionistas. Grabbing my press passes I made my way to the second floor where the fashion show was to take place. The floor was filled with flashing lights towards the runway, stylish on-goers, & gourmet food. I was enchanted with the cucumber lemonade & did want to stop eating the delicious mini cupcakes. The fashion show began & I had the perfect view from the press section.

My FNO outfit.
Looks were inspired by menswear, the color: navy, mixed media prints & an English touch. The accessories were as fierce as the models.

I had a wonderful time meeting up with a few San Antonio Beauty & Fashion Bloggers. We got to chat about blogging & Fashion Night Out. It was a pleasure meeting Geek In Chic's Jullianna & Faith, Fashion & Life's Michelle. If you haven't checked out their fashion blogs, you are missing out!  I got to view the fashion show with Lash Girl's Sarah. Her beauty blog is just as fabulous as her! We tried various Italian appetizers & frozen yogurt as we gazed upon the outfits surrounding us. It was as  P'Trique would say, "totes amaze!"

I had a wonderful time attending San Antonio's FNO with my best friend. Thanks San Antonio Fashion & Beauty Bloggers for the passes. It was lovely to meet fellow bloggers & I can't wait for the next event.

I ended my night eating delicious Italian food with my friend & looking through photos from the runway. It was surely a night to remember! Hope ya'll had a fabulous FNO last night!

Private Jet

We actually got tickets to the MTV Video Music Awards in the main pit. We frantically searched for plane tickets (where are our friends with private jets when you need them?!), but couldn't come up with anything on such short notice. It was incredibly hard to hit 'decline' for the tickets that held our entrance to an ultimate dream. We wore black and mourned the rest of the day. Oh well, there's always next year! :)

We tried avoiding them for the most part (it only served as a reminder that we could have been there.. still hasn't entirely sunk in yet), but we managed to check out attendees' outfits. I have to say, very disappointed in most everyone's dress selection. Best dressed of the evening? Gotta give it to the boys...

Congrats, One Direction, on taking home 3 awards last night.

It's Friday! Have a great day!!

Day at the Park

Shorts & a blazer are the perfect combination.

In Texas, the heat always us to wear shorts and breezy clothes for most of the year.

Jumpsuits are always in fashion.

A few bangles from India.

A few splashes of color to play off of each accessory.

Sometimes you just really need to see your friend. And this day was such a time. We met at a coffee shop for drinks and headed out to the park! Sweet time catching up!

Check later for Dot's post on FNO.

Have a great day!
